Who is Your HR Director?
I'm Duncan Elliott and I'm Your HR Director. I've been working in People Management and Human Resources for a long time, and there isn't much I haven't seen.
I have a lot of experience supporting privately owned companies, large and small, and I also work with corporate firms on specific projects, and also third sector enterprises and charities. This places me in an ideal position to offer high quality HR Consultancy to all sectors.
My smallest client employs just one person, and my largest employs over 1,000, so whatever the size of your business I can most certainly help you. The main difference with my approach is that clients get to deal with me personally, as opposed to a remote call centre which can give you the distinct (and most likely correct) impression that the person you're talking to is reading the answer to your question from a computer screen. My clients appreciate the fact that I am available on call all the time, and I can also visit them on site at short notice.

When setting up Your HR Director it became obvious to me that many employers were frustrated with HR firms just wanting to sign them up on an annual contract, flog them some insurance, and scare them into believing they would be inundated with tribunal cases. I decided that there could be a better way.
Since I started Your HR Director I have saved many employers a great deal of time, money and hassle. I think it's because clients know I understand their business needs as well as their legal responsibilities. Mine is about as far from a call-centre style service as you can get, and I won't scare you into spending money you don't need to.
So why use me?
My clients tell me that the two biggest advantages to my services are, one; they are provided on an ad hoc basis, which means that you are only ever paying for my services when you're actually using them. But during the time when you aren't paying, you can still enjoy the peace of mind that I'm on call at a moment's notice so you are still effectively 'covered.' It's a bit like having an insurance policy but only paying the premium if you make a claim.
The second thing is the immediacy of service. When you ring, you will speak directly to me, and if the proverbial hits the fan, I can be there urgently.
